Stormy days & cold nights

Winter is here and the team at GRO could not be happier, we are here every morning from 9am to serve up warm scones, huge empires, the worlds biggest’ strawberry tarts and more, all baked in house.

Mornings always begin with powering up our Black Eagle, the worlds finest’ coffee machine, hand made in Italy by Victoria Arduino. We use only the most smoothest organic coffee with the loveliest of kicks, the most perfect way to begin any day. With our range of organic milks we ensure there is nowhere better to relax with caffeine. Temperature drops can only mean one thing: hot chocolates are the go to for many. Again GRO aims for the best, using only Green and Blacks, topped with cream and marshmallows. For all our tea addicts our range of teas (of which there are ten), are supplied by Steenbergs,  loose leaf, organic and in a gorgeous big tea pot!

Our kitchen is at the ready to dish up the best in brunch, using ethical, organic produce wherever possible and the best Scotland has to offer, big organic eggs, puddledub bacon and sausages, Stornoway black pudding, Arran cheese and Glasgows Pietros. Gorgeous daily specials, wholesome soups, and a menu that will surely find something to suit!

From four in the afternoon everyday at GRO we power up our pizza oven and after our fresh dough has proved for a total of 48 hours, our man from Naples, Matteo, is ready to be serve up some gorgeous authentic Neapolitan pizza. Using fine Italian meats, fresh mozzarellas and a few more local additions,  with some suggestions you can even build your own pizza from the ingredients on offer.

Dog and child friendly, on cold days, GRO is the perfect spot to relax, eat, drink and spend some time in a heaven of warmth and cosiness, enjoy  hot drinks, a glass of wine or a beer. Open till 10pm, team GRO will take care of you from breakfast to bed time. Any evening if you are not going out, come in,  put your feet up make GRO your home from home.

This festive season will see GRO make its largest charitable donation to date.  As a company who have always believed about giving back, GRO will mark its third birthday and continued success on  behalf of our staff and  awesome customers (who have shown us the most amazing support in the last year as a thank you to them), by paying for 80 local children from a deprived community to have a fun evening at a pantomime and more!

Merry Christmas to all our customers, and Ayrshire Magazine readers, from everyone at GRO.
